Supplier of Everyday Essentials to UK Retail and Wholesale, Bira Direct supplier Dayes Ltd. formerly known as George East (Housewares) Limited has announced their change of name from 1st October 2021. 

 

In a letter to their business partners and customers, their Managing Director - Nick Squire has said:

"Dear Sir/Madam 

George East (Housewares) Limited has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of a large Dutch multinational non-food business since 2006. Our group has grown both organically and through M&A activity dictating alterations in the group name and its branding. As a dynamic business with ambitious growth plans, we need to make sure that our stakeholders, be they customers, consumers or suppliers know the breadth and scope of our business.

Our Group is being rebranded with a consistent name across all territories using a name that both conveys what we do and is pronounceable and understandable in all languages. We serve over 50m households every week with our daily essential products and therefore will be changing our name to reflect this. In Europe, the name is already registered and in place since 1st September, George East has also changed, our group will be called Dayes. A short, powerful, and clear name. A name that says what our entire company stands for, the daily essential products that make the lives of millions of consumers more fun, easier, cleaner and more comfortable. In short, “everyday essentials”.

Our new logo: 

There is no change in the structure or ownership of the business however, following our European operations, George East (Housewares) Limited will be rebranded Dayes Limited during Autumn 2021. Our new name will be effective from 1st October 2021.

Our VAT and Company Registration Number remain the same so the only thing you need to amend in your records is the company name to Dayes Limited.
