Lobbying & industry statistics

bira has a strong focus on lobbying and representation and through its Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee and is able to monitor existing legislation as well as help to shape new legislation. The committee meets quarterly and is involved in consultation which enables it to suggest ways to legislate with minimum disruption to bira members. Existing legislation is also monitored, with a view to guiding members as to their obligations. The committee is well connected and regularly welcomes influential speakers with whom contact is maintained as various issues are progressed.
